The children enrolled in this program range in age from 6 weeks to 15 months. Our first goal is to provide your baby with a safe, loving environment in which to grow, play, and learn. Our main objective is to take individual time with the infants and toddlers to help aide them in learning how to crawl, roll over, hold own bottles, talk and walk. One on one time with the infants and toddlers is important to their development and helps establish the bonds between the teachers and the children.
We help the toddlers with the transition from cribs to cots, bottles to sippy cups, and using their fingers to using spoons when eating. Be assured that these transitions will happen gradually; we will not make these changes over night. Before we begin any transition, we always consult the parents.
Once a child has begun to develop their vocabulary, we begin to introduce primary colors, counting to 10 and basic shapes. The children are also exposed to art, music, movement, and fine motor activities. We understand that above all else learning must be fun! We design our daily lesson plans with fun in mind. Through our daily projects, children can express themselves freely through activities such as music, art, gross motor and fine motor concepts. Of course the messier a project the more fun they have and the more they learn. What is the fun of being a child if you can't get messy?
Our final goal is to love your child as if he/she were our own. We believe at Aunt Nancy’s that the children, parents, and staff should be one big happy family.
